The rowing and canoeing competitions will stage at Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas, site located in the southern part of the city of Rio.
Usual rallying and training point for rowing and canoes brezilians clubs, this saltwater lagoon is surrounded by urban neighborhoods like Ipanema, Copacabana or Botafogo.
The pond will welcome in August the upcoming Olympic and Paralympic rowing and canoes venues.
A temporary wharf with a capacity of 10,000 spectaxtors has even been specially designed on the site.
